· Complete the corresponding worksheet.
· Read the Declaration of Independence.
· Complete the corresponding worksheet.
This course will examine the structure, functions, and evolution of the government and political institutions of the United States. We will look at how policies are shaped by social, political, and economic factors. We will explore how our elected representatives are dealing with the serious problems facing American society today.
The summer assignment will introduce you to the first unit of the course, as we examine the historical foundations of the American political system.
The readings and worksheet can be found below.
Assignment will be submitted at the first class meeting of the semester in August.
